This policy explains how Fashion Mesh (“we”, “us”) collects and uses your personal information when you visit www.fashionmesh.com, buy from us or contact us. We are the controller of your personal information under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
What we collect
- Contact and order details: name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery address, what you ordered, and any printing text you enter.
- Payment details: handled by our payment providers through Shopify’s checkout. We never see or store your full card number.
- Messages: anything you send us by email or through our contact form.
- Device and browsing information: such as your IP address, browser and the pages you visit, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see “Cookies” below).
How and why we use it
- To take, deliver and support your order, including returns and refunds. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
- To keep records for tax and accounting. Legal basis: legal obligation.
- To prevent fraud and keep our shop secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interests.
- To improve our shop using analytics. Legal basis: your consent, where cookies are used.
- To send marketing emails, only if you have signed up. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email.
Who we share it with
- Shopify, which hosts our shop and processes orders and payments for us.
- Payment providers that process your payment.
- Our supplier and delivery companies, who receive your name, delivery address and phone number to send your order.
- Service providers we use for email and analytics.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information.
International transfers
Some of these providers, including Shopify and our supplier, process information outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards UK law requires, such as adequacy regulations or the UK’s International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for six years to meet tax and accounting rules. We keep marketing preferences until you unsubscribe, and other information only as long as we need it for the purposes above.
Cookies
We use cookies that are needed for the shop to work, such as your basket. We use analytics and advertising cookies only if you agree to them in our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to how we use it, to ask for a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use these rights, email support@fashionmesh.com. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Children
Our shop is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
